Angela Kik

Nursing Evaluator

Angela Kik, BSN, EMT, is a seasoned nurse with more than 33 years of experience in emergency medicine, intensive care, and public health. She earned both her Associate and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midway University in Kentucky.

Angela’s career includes leadership as Emergency Room and Trauma Director at a Level 3 trauma hospital, where she oversaw critical operations and staff development. She has been deeply involved in statewide preparedness through her work with the Preparedness and Response Branch of the Kentucky Department for Public Health, where she also served as the ESF #8 lead during numerous disasters. In this role, she organized and deployed nurse strike teams to disaster zones in North Carolina and Florida.

For 12 years, Angela worked as a flight nurse across Kentucky and Tennessee, providing lifesaving care during air medical transport, and spent a year transporting patients internationally. Most recently, she served as the PMOCC Coordinator for the Pediatric Pandemic Network, hosted by Norton Children’s Hospital, where she championed pediatric preparedness and resilience in public health emergencies.
