Linda Scott

Nursing Evaluator

Linda graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Schoolcraft Community College and a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy. She has a depth of nursing experience working in both large tertiary and community hospitals as a staff nurse, house supervisor, employee health and as an infection prevention and control coordinator. In addition, Linda was the first person in Michigan to graduate with a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. She spent over 29 years at the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) working to support HIV surveillance then medical and public health preparedness. She served as the Incident Response Coordinator for the MDHHS Community Health Emergency Operation Center responding to numerous incidents including the 2019 COVID 19 pandemic. She retired as Director of the Bureau of Emergency Preparedness, EMS and Systems of Care. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, water aerobics, reading and spending as much time as her 7 grandchildren will let her!
